I have been looking for a good recipe for trail mix!

We all eat differently so we all have different mixes

In our family we all like and need slightly different items in our trail mix. I buy everyone's favorites and then we mix our own. For example my kids need MANY more calories than I do so they get macadamia nuts and choc covered sunflower seeds. My husband LOVES peanuts so he gets lots of those. I on the other hand make sure I have almonds and lots of dried fruit like mango and cranberry. Sometimes I'll add in some choc covered espresso beans, but not when I know it's going to be hot. We have the bags all lined up on the counter, and each of us goes along and takes the handfuls of goodies we each like and make our own custom mixes. Works great!
